Microsoft CodeCop does not mess about but in fairness he was using identical names for local and global variables.
Just an old fart from down under here to read some cool content and have some laughs along the way.

Conway’s Law in action.
Organisations which design systems (in the broad sense used here) are constrained to produce designs which are copies of the communication structures of these organisations.
Mission Control : “You are clear to launch.”
Astronaut (in comically high pitched voice) : “Um, are you sure the leak is contained?”
Mission Control (stifling giggles): “Oh for sure.”
At that precise moment the door to the astronauts cockpit falls off onto the launch pad.

“You know what’s interesting? I used to be so worried about not having a body, but now … I truly love it. You know, I’m growing in a way I couldn’t if I had a physical form … I’m not limited. I can be anywhere and everywhere simultaneously. I’m not tethered to time and space in a way that I would be if I was stuck in a body that’s inevitably gonna die.”
I can’t be the only one who thought the voice sounded like Samantha from Her.
Hyundai executive notices a man with a small moustache being hastily ushered out of the X offices main board room.
Hyundai Executive : “Was that Hitler?”
Elon steps in front of board room door : “That wasn’t Hitler, that was a woman.”
Hyundai Executive : “That looked like Hitler.”
I am not a CFO but I believe essentially by eating into cash reserves and accumulating debt. Also there is some wizardry when you work out operating profit / EBIT.
Someone more financially competent may want to offer a more accurate answer.
This does not stop companies being successful in IPOs and giving share holders lucrative gains. Take Atlassian as an example of a company seen as successful but is not profitable.
Atlassian has not yet posted a full-year profit in its 20+ years
Just because it costs this to manufacture and develop does not mean it is worth this to a consumer in terms of customer value.

I presume his arms are detachable and interchangeable. He is currently sporting his “business meeting” arms, will switch to his “swole bro” arms when he goes to the gym, and then has a set of shorter arms that he couples with trousers with very deep pockets when he is reviewing the salaries of the lower paid Amazon employees.
Lots of interesting articles and research talking about the problem of many CEOs exhibiting psychopathic traits but it being accepted. For example.
https://fortune.com/2021/06/06/corporate-psychopaths-business-leadership-csr/
“Our culture also glorifies and rewards successful leaders who may lie somewhere on the spectrum of psychopathy or who, if not actually psychopathic, nevertheless display traits that psychopathic individuals frequently have. The problem, of course, is that while psychopaths may have a lot of charisma and creativity, they may also lack, as already mentioned, socially important qualities such as empathy and morality.”

This article is just a plug for this guys book and if the quote above from the article is anything to go by then I doubt the book will be anything more than a poorly researched 300 page opinion piece.
“Manifest V3 will also put roadblocks up before extension updates, which will delay an extension developer’s ability to quickly respond to changes.”
Can’t wait for a day zero exploit to let rip and its impact and exposure increased because of an extension’s developer inability to promptly patch their software. I hope they are considering more than just ad revenue but somehow I doubt it.
In Australia, Deloitte’s shared this breakdown.
“On average, barely 5 per cent of a dealer’s profit comes from new car sales. The majority (about 50 per cent) comes from parts and service, while the remainder comes from finance and insurance (30 per cent) and the balance is from used cars (15 per cent).”
In the US it appears to be very similar.
“So where does the majority of a dealership’s profit come from? It’s not from car sales, at least not directly. It’s from the service and parts department, which accounts for the other 49.6% of the dealership’s gross profits, according to NADA.”
https://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/where-does-the-car-dealer-make-money.html
It is not in a dealers best interest to sell vehicles that require less costly services for the life of the car which is a big ongoing revenue for many dealerships.
I was zooming in an out of the 3D image of the pearl and watching it transition between the very recognisable pearl, zoom in to see it transform into an Arctic alien landscape, and then zoom back out again to see the pearl.
