Sometimes I’ve noticed Google’s AI overview is a nearly word for word copy of the highest reddit result, or any result.

Its against YouTube’s TOS to download content, and to block advertisements. Another lesser known, and less enforced part of the TOS also covers content instructing how to download content and block ads. I’m pretty sure that’s the reason YouTube took it down at least.

On another note, huge props to Linus for teaching how to block ads on channel and company, with a hundred mouths to feed, majorly funded by advertisments. I know he caught a lot of shit before with gamer nexus, but they deserve props for this.

So much lost knowledge. Even on forums that remain, I feel as though 80% of all images no longer function. Especially frustrating when said image is constantly referred to.

People who use it (for forum type chatting) are probably trying to avoid non enshittified platforms. Ironically they don’t realize discord is heading towards the same path. Free screen sharing, high quality voice calls, image and video sharing and file sharing for FREE is not sustainable. Eventually they are going to crackdown on its users, which is unfortunate but predictable.

A massive corporate monopoly enforcing the use of its devices by purposefully removing cross compatible functionally between different platforms. Spineless governments don’t do anything cause they are toothless and on the payroll.

I don’t think it has power pass through, meaning that the electricity goes into apples battery pack, into the battery, then into a device. A power pass through means, upon battery and device charging, the battery will route the power from the wall (or second battery) directly to the device.

Power pass through is important because without it there’s great inefficiency (less run time) and lots of heat. The battery is being both charged and discharged, creating more heat and wearing the battery down significantly. And also for the love of God just let me plug in any battery I want to.

Not to mention the praise for “innovation”. I swear to God most of the “innovation” I see is more proprietary or useless shit to screw over the customer. I suppose regarding company priorities that’s excellent innovation.

But the proprietary connector plug itself is almost identical to the lightning connector, the only difference is that the bolster has some notches in it for the BATTERY to lock into. All the locking is in the battery, they could have, should have, used USB C or any other existing connector.

Bold to assume us Americans can actually choose our laws.

To be honest I think it’s just AI developers gobbling them all up because Nvidia’s dedicated workload and professional GPUs are always sold out. Plus spending 1400$ on games is ridiculous, and that’s coming from somebody with a ryzen 7800x3d and a 7900xtx. I regret it so much, such a waste of money.

You also have to admit that the US covers for most of the worlds military. Most of nato and many Asian allies have very low defense spending, because the US will cover them. Most of the time when there is a global crisis or localized crisis the US is involved in one way or another.

Additionally tons of the bio fuel industry is based on corn and the United States’ extremely stubborn subsidization of it. Without the funding the corn industry gets bio fuel is financially impossible. Additionally it increases food costs for everyone substantially as there’s only so much farmland that exists. Already ordinary people pay millions more for food directly because of bio fuel production and the reduction of farmland for crops that actually feed people.

Exactly, Google search itself is so enshittified you pretty much have to tag “reddit” at the end of every query to find any solution to a problem. Even my 55yr boss knows this and he’s clueless about anything social media related.

Having tons of Google traffic to any company in would be a godsend, yet Reddit wants to ban it. What a fucking joke.

This is why Taiwan (ROC) is the true China who tried their best to preserve their own culture and country as much as they could, moving artifacts and such to the island (colloquially mainlanders even call Taiwan "treasure island).
