Even then, its not “more” or less than the US. My point is just that capitalism corrupts all governments, to one extent or another, because its incompatible with democracy.

Of course, no one can. Unfortunately, that’s because capitalism is incompatible with actual democracy. Theres isn’t a country in the world whos democratic process and systems of governance hasn’t been utterly corrupted by capitalism and all that it brings with it.

If labour had been betting on things, using insider knowledge, there would be arrests already. The Met police went to the most secure and videoed place in the country (10 downing street) and lied, telling the whole nation that there was no evidence of the parties they were having during lockdown. Etc etc etc.

We have courts for that and intent is very much a factor in nearly all cases. So, its not like its something alien that they couldn’t cope with.

To me, if anything, it would add to the weight on a conviction, as the requirements to meet it would be so high.

I get the feeling, I really do. However, I can’t think of many things that would radicalise someone more than losing all their money or being buried under a pile of debt. There are groups of mods who choose to promote themselves above the respectable digital janitor we all know to be necessary to more of a narrative and public opinion curator. Especially on the more news based subs. I don’t think they even try to hide it these days.
