- Done

It uses the Kademliya algorithm at its core, the same algorithm as BitTorrent. You can fork hyperswarm/hyperdht and bootstrap the nodes yourself.
The above assumptions are incorrect:
Tailscale is entirely different; with tailscale, you are exposing your whole network. You wouldn’t want to do that when just wanting to share a normal website with 100s of people?
Holesail on the other hand, exposes only a single port. Now you are free to share it with any random person out there
You still need the “Internet” to access your local network from anywhere.
That’s also how NAT works, you only expose the ports you choose. Attackers can find and attack you with Dynamic DNS and Static IP address, it is not possible with Holesail
Holesail is not a VPN application, and yes, we stay up-to-date with our technology. Anyone scanning for open ports can not connect to you unless you share your connection string with them.
You are right, it is similar to that. Your router keeps ports and connections closed for the public world, but holesail sets them live from behind the firewall and someone using Holesail + your “connection string” can find you and connect with you.
Opening ports with holesail does not mean anyone on the Internet can access them; someone has to use holesail, and they need to know your “connection string” in order to connect.
Discord now has threads that are searchable, we are a fairly new project and creating our presence on all the platforms take some time.
Discord is a legitimate form of contact, we are available through Email, Discord, Reddit, Github Issues, Keet and soon other platforms.
No, Tailscale is a VPN that lets people connect to your network.
Holesail on the other hand, allows anyone to access your ports even if you are on a dynamic IP address. They do not have to be in the same network
