It will sound better than streaming directly from your phone but it’s not worth it to most people. The cable conversation is a whole other subject. There are still audiophiles that claim that cables costing upwards of $1000 are worth it and sound better. It blows my mind.
I run Windows on the main family computer for simplicity and Linux on my personal (slightly older) laptop. I’m trying to teach my kids about it in hopes that they will have the same level of curiosity that I did back in the early 2000s. Plus I’d love to not run Windows at all.
By the way I use Slackware doesn’t really roll off the tongue.
I mean it’s on a laptop that’s plugged into my stereo and streams Spotify and my music collection. On my main system I don’t use snaps but for that particular one I wanted kubuntu and Spotify and that was basically it. But I guess you are right about them wearing me down.
