And you’re trusting everything an article says about a virus that says there’s no solution?
What’s to stop a black hat buying this to steal identities?
What’s to stop one of the coders from leaking it? Or a black hat leaking it?
What about someone targeting an incorrect target and by doing so it ends up in the hands of someone more nefarious?
Hackers and black markets do what they want.
Can’t afford it? Steal it.
Sure did.
Did you really just say this in a topic about this actual thing happening?
I’d assume they’d amend the contract to require that a tracker be added to the binaries of the game. Or something.
Is there some ongoing resource use (on Unity’s end)
Nope. The engine is part of the game once compiled. So all hosting and bandwidth cost goes to steam/gog/whoever is selling the game.
They are just trying to get more of that sweet viral game money.
I’m on Linux Mint right now and when I go my library and toggle the “Show only games that run on Linux” button, nothing happens. I don’t think Valve cares about the distinction, so long as it runs.

I tried to set this up on Mint and was getting pinged for my keyring password every time I logged in. Got really annoying very fast because I do not have the require password setting on. So it was making me type my password either way.
Ubuntu derivative
Is one reason.
DE nobody else seems to be using
Cinnamon is easy to use though. Seamless transition from windows to linux for people who don’t know what they are really doing. When they get the hang of it, you can do some neat stuff with it.
Cinnamon is also an in house thing from the Linux Mint developers which is why it’s most common there. There’s a few other distros that have spins on it. Namely Ubuntu, Manjaro, Arch, Fedora, etc.
I personally don’t remember it being that way but it’s been a long time since I’ve used KDE. Like, Mandrake was still a thing when I last used it.
Who the hell advertises their MacOS software in the console of linux of any type?
So let’s all buy 68 Bonnevilles and convert them to EVs.
I’d kill for an 81 Rabbit pickup.
Bigger vehicles feel better to drive.
If you like body roll, yeah. Otherwise they are worse overall.
I’d rather drive something smaller and more fun than some big lumbering hunk of metal and plastic.
Especially with how tall vehicles here are getting.
I’ll stick with my Jetta and you do you, short king.
This runs arch btw
They made the best wireless mouse I’ve ever owned under that naming moniker. The SideWinder X8. Big and heavy, which I love. Magnetic charging cable you could use while still using the mouse.
From what I know, they can be upgraded to larger hard drives and better batteries.
Oh they know they will, but they’ve chalked that up to being cheaper than paying humans.
