I’m an immigrant (not in the UK), so I don’t know if people just don’t say the quiet part to me or if they really don’t know. What’s the problem with immigration(outside of racism)? Is it significantly different in the UK?

Obviously, at some point, there could be a problem. If everyone in the world wanted to live on the British isles, that wouldn’t work (sorry if the phrasing is weird, I was trying to avoid a cheap empire joke). But it’s nowhere close to that.

Your country has the low birth rate common for highly developed nations, so immigration is a positive, no?

I’m not trying to attack your auntie, but she specifically separated immigration from racism, so there’s probably another angle I just can’t see.

What a disappointment

Humans are pretty durable. If you’re having sex with a woman such that it makes her cry, you’re possibly doing damage to her reproductive system. Even 5k years ago, humans had a high investment reproductive strategy, and if you (as a historical man) injure a bunch of women during sex and leave, those women aren’t going to be in a great position to raise your child for fifteen years.

Also, while rape was absolutely more common historically, women have often had some say in things. If you look at Lysistrata, for example: the women decide to withhold sex until their husbands stop fighting. One suggests that their husbands will just have sex with them anyway, and the group reassures her that if she doesn’t enjoy it, he’ll lose interest. That’s pretty common for people- they want sex to be positive for both people involved.

Also the practical aspect of- a person you have sex with probably has access to you in a vulnerable position and you don’t want them to hate you.

Well, women are way more likely to sleep with you again and not shit talk you to their friends if you don’t ignore their discomfort during sex.

There’s literally a pheromone in womens tears that dampens arousal in men. Even if you’re not there to smell it, the body still responds to a degree. That’s not to say that no men can maintain an erection through a woman crying for any reason, but empathy does not drop for “most men” when they’re aroused.

It’s emotionally charging to hear your own voice saying things you did not. Dismissing a victim describing what happened because they’re emotional about how they were wronged doesn’t make sense to me.

They are replicating his voice.

He’s losing work and the effectiveness of his strike. Either they want his voice and they’d pay for it if he wasn’t striking, in which case his literal voice is working against his figurative one against his will, or they just need a voice and there was no fucking reason to steal a real person’s.

The strike came after the jobs began to be replaced. They can currently mimic a few glass blown designs, and the strike is aimed at making sure that glass blowers don’t give more ammo to the animators.
