Ppl that still use Windows even after all this shit has been rammed down their throats will not have a good time on Linux. You still need to be able to do basic trouble shooting. I installed win 11 a few months back and it took me three tries on installation to get all the garbage out of it.

I think the best bet is an entirely new system from the ground up that has an open architecture that every company can equally implement that from the ground up and is as simple as possible. Like the computers we had in the 80s, but with better graphics. You want to play a game, you boot into it and it’s the only thing running. No anti cheat needed.

The corporations have been doing this with housing. I live in CA and it is awful how many unhoused there are now, and the supreme Court made it illegal!I hope one day this will finally be the last straw for the uprising.

I definitely feel bcachefs is much more practical than zfs for home storage, I’ve used both. I don’t use zfs unless it’s TrueNAS because of the licensing issues, but bcachefs solves all of that and you can use different sized drives. I look forward to it being stable and glad it’s working out. Luckily the only side affect is Linus’ regretfulness. 😂

The writing is on the wall, they are not giving up on that potential cash cow. I won’t use it, hell I don’t use windows, but there are normal computer users that will have it thrust upon on them and won’t know how to really turn it off.
