It boggles the mind that AMD realized the importance of GPUs 20 years ago when they bought ATI and in all that time Intel still doesn’t have a competitive GPU.

Or maybe it’s the wrong language for the task. Macromedia flash is pretty good for animated websites, an enterprise asset management system, not so much.
My current cross to bear in an app written in Mulesoft because “it’s great with Salesforce” but completely unsuited for bulk data transfers.
Sucks to be stuck with bad choices made before you got there.
But people are constantly buying millions of both, so makes sense to have small yearly updates and major revisions every few years.
Which is basically how both phones and cars are developed now.
If he’s going to use the next one for 12 years he definitely cares about picking a good one.
inco…ntinent?
I didn’t think he was that old.
You know damn well Lemmy downvotes news they don’t like same as Reddit does.
This reads like “they only sell hamburgers at the grocery store, and they don’t sell veggie burgers at the hippie food store because they aren’t vegan”
Most of that interview is deadly dull and there’s no way I would have read to the end.

I thought the NUC was such a great idea for home servers, I bought one from AMD.
Didn’t Intel cancel NUC because it was just a tiny niche not worth the effort?
I can’t imagine Qualcomm, who traditionally sells chips to phone makers, has any interest in becoming a vendor of SFF PCs.
Just Qualcomm showing their customary hostility to developers.
They’re resentful they had to produce dev kits in the first place, so delayed them until after other companies produced retail products.
LOL imagine making death threats against the admin and then going “oh poor me, being discriminated by transphobes!”
Thanks.
Transphobic is not nice, but there’s too much trolling online to indulge blatantly offensive/sexual usernames on an open source project.
You can be trans without creating a hostile work environment.
I’m not going to join a mob after choosing to only hear one side of the story.
The “reasons” seem important to judge the situation.
I’m not reading all that drama about people I’ve never heard of. Got a 2 sentence summary?
That’s a slightly revisionist history. ATI was by no means “circling the drain”, they had a promising new GPU architecture soon to be released, and remember this because I bought ATI stock about 6 months before the merger.
