Convention over configuration feels like such a fight when I’m trying to configure something
Isn’t threads.net activitypub?
I mean if it’s just a private server for just the people he knows then I don’t get why this would be a concern, but if it is to mitigate family drama then rocket chat definitely has end-to-end encryption https://docs.rocket.chat/use-rocket.chat/workspace-administration/settings/e2e-encryption

We’ll know if he ever finds some funny way to say he’s using Windows… that or he’s genuine and it’s a click bait title, didn’t watch it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
How expensive can “reputable” be. I got danhab99.xyz for like ¯\(°_o)/¯ $20/year?? Who cares

TBH I’d be willing to pay $1/month. If every Lemmy user did that I think it would be plenty to keep the servers hot.
I am dying of curiosity to learn what SBF actually did with 8billion dollars… like how much money can you spend before you run out of things to spend on?
How is Google the top advertiser and yet nobody knows about their other products??
There are many considerations where the fault lines should be. Somethings absolutely need upstream support and cannot just be buffered… for example payment processing.
Shit happens and we DevOps people do everything we can to minimize it. That’s why your apps might go down for like 2hrs a year.
That this whole war is orchestrated by the deep state which has private corporations as a branch of government just like every other war waged since WWII (the last real war)?
Literally why is anybody shocked?
