Sure but do you have any proof they are doing that? some places are really good and others really bad. Overall my guess is iron is still worse than plastic but there are exceptions.
Plastic in a landfill is a lot less harmful than co2 in the atmosphere.
Need to be examined on e case by case basis but plastic often comes out aheadi
You still need a lot of energy to recycle steel. Less than mining by far but still a lot.
Likely far more energy and pollution needed to manufacture this though so overall a loss for the earth.
if you have what support soid in writing then ask student legal (most universities give you free lawyer access, use it) but in general specific advice like this will in court override what the eula says. The person who said you could should of course be fired but that isn’t your problem.
in the us fcc rules say these are unlicensed bands and they cannot make those rules about any radio. However the eula seems to be about wifi use but connecting their network to wifi and that difference is in their favor. If you get your own network connection (how?) You can bring your own wifi but don’t connect theirs.
It is a privacy nightmare. However if you only use it for keeping up with distance friends it is a useful tradeoff. However because they must have so much private information to be useful for that purpose you need to ensure they never have any other purpose. Which is why I won’t use marketplace or groups - there are alternatives that don’t already have private information.
I make it a point of blocking all groups and anything shared. The only cat pictures I want to see on Facebook are your cat, so if you share a meme I’m blocking all from whoever created it. Then I have a rule after blocking 2 facebook is done for this session and so I close the window. I have cleaned up my feed a bit by doing that, but I alone am not enough data to show up - I need the rest of you to commit to only using Facebook for sharing friends and family. Block all groups, marketplace, politics, memes, just share your life with the people who know you well enough to care about your personal life. IF enough of us do that we can maybe show up in data that there are people who don’t want that and so they will make an algorithm for us that shows more of our friends and less of the other garbage. I’m sure there is a lot more I’d like to see on facebook but I never do because I stop scrolling too soon - which hurts them.
That isn’t a win either. I have a number of distance friends that I wouldn’t hear about outside of facebook. I don’t live near my old high school, but it is nice to see what is going on. I wouldn’t have found out about that Ed died in a motercycle accident if it wasn’t for facebook, but it is nice to know. I wouldn’t see all those cute back to school pictures - they would be happy to show me over lunch but we don’t live close enough to have lunch together. Facebook has much usefulness for keeping connected to distant friends/family (close friends/family I will call)
The solution is to keep using craigslist - it still exists and gets some activity. Ensure that it gets more.
We can make gold in a lab, it has been done. Let us just say there is a reason those who want $$$$ to build another super collider are not talking about making gold in them.
Find your local print shop, library public printers, drug store photo service. Compare price, convenience, quality, and how often you actually do that print each thing on your list. Most people want everything on their list, but won’t use them enough to be worth it.
I am happy with a black and white borther laser in part because I know where my options are for the few times I need/want color. My local print shop is on my way for a trip I take often (work) and can print in large format - a useful feature not on your list that you may want in the future.
It wasn’t clear that windows 95 would beat OS/2, and OS/2 was clearly the better so I installed that over windows 3.1. Then in college I got introduced to BSD. I still prefer BSD, but sometimes linux has things that BSD doesn’t so I use linux in places.
Everything you do to become a monopoly is legal (or at least should be - there are lots of illegal things you can do along the way but for discussion lets assume/pretend they don’t do those things). However it is not legal to be a monopoly.
I’m surprised arbitration holds up. I can believe the court say it comes first and the reasoning of arbitration should be given to the jury along with instructions that they can disbar a lawyer who tries to reverse something the arbitration decides when arbitration was correct, but ultimately the right to a jury trial is required.
