Sorry to derail but what do people think of air gap or air tube wired headphones? Do you think they are necessary?
In this case, the magazine created fake journalists with fake bios and used them.in the bylines. I would think that’s a kind of fraud and definitely hurts the magazine’s trustworthiness. The article goes into other publications that have also used fake journalists with their bylines in AI produced articles. I think if they were more transparent- say, labeling an article “AI created content” - it wouldn’t be as much of an issue.
This also doesn’t address errors in the AI produced articles (which could be solved by having a real life fair checker or editor).
I can’t wait to tie my entire financial life to X.
I prefer "content creators. " Sametimes they can be very educational or entertaining. (I watch a lot of comedy, travel, and home workout content.)
It’s called “contextual commerce.” Article about a product has a link to said product; if you click and make a purchase, the news site makes a little money. Thus, incentivizing the new site to publish more and more articles about products.
If they sell their current car first, what do they use in the interim? Most places in the US do not have any public transportation to speak of, and those that do are not reliable or frequent enough to get anywhere on time.
Are there people out there flipping cars like they do with houses? Maybe tell those people.
I’ve read if people buying new Teslas (with some kind of credit for buying an EV), driving it for a year or so, selling it for more than they paid and then repeating the process. Not sure if this is a viable strategy anymore (don’t know if Tesla has that much demand anymore).
What search engine were you using on FF?
I listen to those stations in my car or on my alarm clock at home. But I suggested Radio Garden in case you wanted to listen to stations not in your area. Do you have public radio or college radio available?
Whats a good emergency radio with a hand crank that you would recommend?
This is tangential to the conversation but have you heard of Radio Garden? You can listen to radio stations around the world. As for “good radio stations,” I’m partial to college radio stations like 90.7 FM in NYC. They have a lot of freedom with their playlists.
I sometimes resort to using Google to find the Amazon item I need.
I like AntennaPod.
But wouldn’t the person who made the remix/cover or fanfic have to pay if they made money off of their work? Don’t they need permission of the writer to sell that work? That is what I have always known, unless the original work is in the public domain. I’m not talking about someone creating an inspired work for their own private or not for sale use - in my example I was talking about a publishing company creating a work for sale.
It’s hard to cook as an AI character when you have eight fingers and they are all fused together.
I see this more like suing a musician for using a sample of your recording or a certain amount of notes or lyrics from your song without your consent. The musician created a new work but it was based on your previous songs. I’m sure if a publisher asked ChatGBT to produce a GRRM-like novel, it would create a plagiarism-lite mash up of his works that were used as writing samples, using pieces of his plots and characters, maybe even quoting directly. Sampling GRRM’s writing, in other words.
-Older, more conservative people.
-People who watch sports who are not aware of other options.
-And people who have bundled services and either have to take the bundle.to get decent Internet speeds or who have persuasively priced bundles.
Thank you!
