Tango, Nuvola, and Bluecurve were truly peak icon. I wish I knew then how flat and soulless things would become.

Because I’ve been using it since version 2 so a bit of baby duck syndrome and the fact that it still checks all my boxes for what I want in a browser.
Boy am I glad trucks are so expensive (and bedless) that I had to get a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500. This old gal doesn’t even have Bluetooth and I have to use an adapter for my jams. I said to myself that this is the last truck I own and now it looks like that’s going to be true.
Because they don’t support OpenSuse. They historically only supported Ubuntu but allowed people to package for other distros.
No. Mandriva and eventually Mageia are their own projects that use RPM.
Where Unix?
Because portage is GOAT. Also see this comment higher up.
Slackware. Like I respect the fuck out of it, but every time I’ve used it I’ve borked it in fun and interesting ways.
I only check protondb when something doesn’t work. Usually some gigachad has a fix or a good reason in the comments.
It should be okay, just comment/delete out the archlabs repos as they are dead and make sure the mirrorlist in /etc/pacman.d is actually pointing at arch repos and then just run sudo pacman -Syu. If you want/need to edit names and logos and stuff just edit /etc/os-release.
Has this place officially become a true Linux community? Did we just have the first X vs Wayland thread?!
That said, I use Wayland on all my machines, but I don’t have Nvidia hardware. I suggest just using X11 until Nvidia manages to do the needful. Personally I enjoy using wayland, things run so smoothly, I have zero issues with games and the only application I used that broke was Barrier, but I just used it for my Steam Deck and that problem is solved with SSH.
I have a small and humble set up. Pihole on my old Pi3, OpenMediaVault, Kavita, Qbittorrent on my Pi 4 and my other Pi 4 is running fucked up Lemmy and Mastodon instances because I’m new to this stuff.
Buggiest pile of shit I’ve ever had the displeasure of hosting. It has potential, it looks amazing and has cool features, but god damn do they need to fix their shit and improve documentation. It’s pretty god damn bad if I have to go to the Misskey bug reports to find solutions to issues I’ve had.
