When you help manage thousands of servers with vim and nano already installed, it’s just faster to use one of those than installing something else nearly ever single time.
I prefer nano for quick edits of small files, but vim for hunting down things in larger files.

Jokes on Microsoft. I downgraded to Windows 10 and disabled secure boot for my dual boot so I could be one step closer to being done with them completely.
A better title would be “The best way to switch to Linux is slowly.”
At my last job, we used iperf a lot for internal speed tests and we used to wonder if there were public iperf servers to test against.
I’m not sure how secure that’d be or if that would even be worth it, but it was an interesting thought.
I actually have one of the USB A cables above from an old android tablet that had 2 full USB A ports on the side.
One was always a slave/device port while the other actually had a physical switch to change from Host to Device.
That used to be my mobile media tablet. I could cast wirelessly or steam directly from the mini HDMI port. Such an awesome device for how cheap it was.
People might fall in love with Her. Scarlet Fauxhansen.
I would love to see more movement on an open source mouse. I know there are some options out there but it seems like nothing has really stuck.
With 3d printing and the RP2040, these should be more abundant.
I’m sure it probably comes down to the sensors available, but I’d love for someone like Adafruit to offer options.
I learned the hard way that
it still worked even if the car was off and
even if you pop it out early, perhaps thinking it’s not working, it can still be hot enough to burn you even if it isn’t red hot like you normally see it.
The video mimics Ms. Harris’s voice, but instead of using her words from the original ad, it has the vice president saying that President Biden is senile, that she does not “know the first thing about running the country” and that, as a woman and a person of color, she is the “ultimate diversity hire.”
Here you go.
My impression is the general consensus is we don’t want huge corporations stealing data to train their AI models only to turn around and cram it down our throats anywhere they can with increasingly negative experiences. That being said, while I would generally agree with that, I still find it interesting and especially if I can host it myself.
You could say “I’m thirsty” and though not explicitly asking a question, someone might still offer you a beverage as a solution, for which you would probably be thankful.
I picked up an Onn 4k streaming Box from Walmart for $20 that uses Android TV. It supports Bluetooth for mouse and keyboard and with a usb hub can handle additional usb ports.
Also supports more advanced tinkering if you’d like to sideload apps such as SmartTubeNext for ad and sponsor blocking on YouTube.
I think you might also be able to load a third party launcher to de-google it more, but I haven’t tried that yet.
I mean that’s already happening at some big companies now.
Will it last? My guess is no, but they’ll enjoy saving the money that they would pay human beings in the mean time.
My hope is just that they’ll suffer losses due to a drop in product quality and start struggling, but let’s face it, the big tech companies are almost never the ones’ that are actually hurt by their decisions.
Well now’s the time if TikTok gets banned.
Gotcha, but even in that case, what’s convincing most of those average users from picking a different browser? The logo? “Ooh pretty lion?”
I was a bit confused too. So all that’s changed is a specific splash screen during new phone setup prompting the user to pick a default browser?
I just started using Konsole and so far it’s ticking all my boxes.
Sidebery has become one of my must haves for new installs.
