FTFA: “Launched federation for self-hosters and developers. Now there are over 1,000 other personal data servers (PDS) outside of Bluesky.”
One thing I am always aware of are apps that want permission to access Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi and/or Networks.
Even though Bluetooth is very short ranged it can still be used to tie you into a location within a database based on other database records that are more detailed.
Yeah, I love playing you “My Great Dog-sitting Simulator” (not a real app) but you do not need access to my BT. The OS handles sending your audio to my headphones!
Well bsky.app has added almost a million users in 1 day! They actually call these events “EMEs” (Elon Musk Events).
It’s a great site, that I highly recommend you check out.
Yeah…
Hey! Perhaps they’ll use A.I. to weed out the A.I. generated bits.
I think that’s the “25-times faster” bit. They seem to be in a hurry to collect as much human-generated data as possible.
Ah, the ol’ “Brute Force” hack.
I got as far as Tom Cotton. Everything else in that article is just going to be a waste of time to read.
The man is without ethics or morals.
Okay. So how do we turn it off!? I’ve read nothing in my Samsung manuals about this “feature” and here no instructions for turning it off.
You like NFT, yeah?
I’ve licked the frog twice! How many does it take?
I wish more people would realize this! We’re years away from a truly reasoning computer.
Right now it’s all mimicry. Mimicry that hallucinates no less…
How would that support “First Sale Doctrine”?
Put on some headphones and de-stress to a seamlessly looped track of walking in the rain. No footsteps, music, etc. Just a stereo mic moving through an environment capturing exquisite aural details.
It’s that t-229 can have its nucleus excited using far less energy than regular atomic clock nuclei.
That leads to ultra precise excitation using wavelengths that cancel out some of the fundamental forces within the atom.
That leads to us being able to monitor at a trillion to one ratio those forces based, in part, on mathematical ‘constants.’ In the excited state we can measure if there’s even the smallest variance in force, which in turn may mean that some ‘constants,’ aren’t.
However the real testing of that is in the future as they estimate that a 10 trillion to one ratio is needed.
Theory described a door, research defined the door and possibly what’s behind it, and experimentation just opened the door.
“cmdrtaco”
Now there’s a name I’ve not heard in a great long while…
Time…is a very strange thing.
Too wordy. Try: Naxi.
They added 1 million new users yesterday alone, so it’s happening! And so are the growing pains.
Jay, their CEO, had a Twitch stream yesterday and she said they’re a 20 person team!
It truly is like old Twitter.
