Was that cause of the cost? Didnt Elon come out claiming lidar was a “crutch” or something?

That’s fair, I don’t typically order really expensive stuff. I just think that if I have to go to a store to pick up my package of small cheap shit then I might as well drive all the way to the store and buy the stuff there in the first place. Why order it online and pay shipping then?
It’s a bit of a rock and a hard place for then. If you won’t leave my package and I have to be there or go somewhere else to pick it up? I’m not ordering your shit.
I hope none of our officials in America are reading this because they’re bound to think it’s a great idea and implement it here. If the state wrongfully puts you in prison you shouldn’t owe the state shit.
You don’t get spousal support because someone was a sperms donor to you or had a short term affair with you. That’s not how spousal support works.
Not the person you were responding too but I’d love to learn more about these toys/tech. Are there some key words that would help me search? I’m having some trouble sifting through the search results.
If their issue is with latching then a bottles not gonna change that
Some babies have to be taught to nurse…
I think you missed his point.
So it’s institutionally approved shade
By Lemmy standards I’m perversely unconcerned with my privacy. But I just updated all my glassdoor info to wildly incorrect stuff (name, location, industry, job title, etc) then deleted it. Even for me this is a bridge too far.
What are the chances the upvotes are fake though?
Overly simplified: It’s a term used to indicate that you should bet the stock is going down if you are a stock holder.
This is true of every artist scene eventually. The SoHo crowd from the 60s, the Beat generation in the 50s (North Beach and Greenwich village), Montparnasse in Paris in the 20s.
The artists of Rome where probably replaced in their neighborhoods by gentrification too, we just don’t have written proof. This isn’t some new fangled conspiracy. This is the cycle. Artists flock to cheap neighborhood and make it a famous cultural center with their art. Rich people want a piece of that atmosphere and move in eventually pricing out the artists they wanted to rub elbows with. Pretending this is a new phenomenon ignores the very nature of human society.
Some of the autoststems are dead ends too that hang up on you. When i run into those I’ve started just telling them I have a billing issue or that I need to purchase some additional product from them. The phone system will push you to a person really fast if they believe you’re buying something. Then the sales person can transfer you to the department you want to talk to rather than trying to navigate the maze of dead ends in some systems.
I don’t understand what kind of magic bullet people think a constructive discharge lawsuit is or what kind of powerful uno reverse card it would be. Winning a constructive discharge lawsuit is basically being legally fired instead of quiting…they’d probably get less from that lawsuit (not even counting the time and legal fees) than if they just accepted Apples package. What is a constructive discharge lawsuit supposed to do here?
If they are offering a relocation package, and it sounds like they are, then this likely doesn’t fall under constructive discharge. Also in CA a constructive discharge lawsuit often only makes you entitled to the same benefits as if you were fired (i.e. severance and unemployment). These guys aren’t being fired for cause so they still qualify for unemployment and the severance deal Apples offering is probably already worth more than many would get in a lawsuit. A lawsuits not gonna force Apple to move the office back.
I don’t know why everyone always jumps straight to “constructive discharge” and “this must be illegal”. Guys, we live in a legal hellscape, Apple may be being shitty but they aren’t doing anything illegal.
I knew a guy who worked in wallpaper, he insisted that sales would stay up after 2020 because this was the “new normal”…would not listen to anyone who asked him what would happen when the post-pandemic housing market slowed and the government stimulus checks dried up…he couldn’t even conceive of a market turn, this guy was teaching night classes to college students…
I’m not arguing they are, but that they aren’t relevant at all in this case. They aren’t even designed to address this situation (binding or otherwise).
Maybe. The EU commission may not care what the moldy tangerine thinks.
