Just take that into account when you’re testing it if you go that route. I wouldn’t want you to think Linux is slow as frozen molasses and forgo the full experience because of a misunderstanding.

What is does that mean? Is that an expression of frustration like “ugh” or “argh”?

The two things that appeal to me about the folding phone are (1) protecting the screen from scratches, especially in my pocket or backpack and (2) that when folded, I wont accidentally touch the screen in a way that will register as a click or swipe. The last one in particular is super annoying to me. However, it doesn’t seem like the technology is ready for this yet since it sounds like the folding mechanism breaks easily. And ofc, I never buy anything Apple.

I have wanted to AmTrak the country for like 18 years now. The thing is it’s just not an appealing experience for the cost. A trip from Florida to California would take 120 hrs/4.25 days one-way. That means that someone would need to take 9 days for a round trip if things match up perfectly. The other thing is that tickets can be quite expensive. The same trip is ~$550 one way. So, we’d have someone spending 7 vacation days and $1100 on transportation alone to sit on a train in coach for nearly the entire time without even getting to see their destination. Say you wanted to stay a week in California. There go another 5 vacation days for a total of 12 vacation days spent, with about half of them spent on a train in coach. You’d also have to add in the costs of staying and touring California, which can be fairly cheap if you know someone there or very expensive if you don’t.

Very few people in the US have the time off and the financial means to make this an appealing trip.

He’s gaslighting us. We’re possibly heading for a recession in the US. China’s real estate market is jacked, Japan and the UK are in a recession. As tied up as our economies are, it would be expected. The one thing I, as someone that is in no way an expert on economics, think could save us is the major economic legislation headed by Biden that has been recently. Actually, I would expect the legislation to solely reduce the impact of a recession.

I’m not criticizing in anyway, but moreso just trying to understand because it sounds interesting to me.
