Why does it have speakers? I mean maybe if it’s really quiet otherwise it might be helpful for it to beep occasionally because tripping hazards and whatnot, but why does it need to be able to speak?

I didn’t conceptually hate the UI there was just so much room for improvement in implementation, if I recall correctly. I was only using a Windows machine for a short time during that era though.

Marketing for electronics is definitely a big one, nobody else really has the same cult following, and when somebody like Samsung gets close it feels like whatever the cult version of a knockoff is.
