It’s honestly great, but the last two AirPods I have had had the earbuds’ battery go out before the case’s battery did. I tried fixing the earbuds’ battery at home and it was a complete mess of glue and ribbon cable hanging out. I wish someone had a viable solution for those. I loved my AirPods but the battery dying as quick as it did was enough for me to never buy more.
I used The Swap Club to replace my wife’s AirPods about six months ago but since then they always seem sold out.
That’s a pretty awesome site. Would be nice to still have a DIY method, but this seems to work too. Though most of their selection seems to be out of stock. Wonder if that’s an all the time thing or if I just happened to come across this at a bad time.
I’ve checked a few times since using them and they are always out. They used to have a listing for Pro as well but that is gone.
My wife and I each swapped pairs of the original AirPods. It turned out to be a very positive experience all around.
Yeah, it’s one of those tech that just feels way too disposable in design despite what their cost would imply, which scares me off from them.
