I was a Google Play Music person and loved it, and then they changed to YouTube. I got mad and tried Apple Music, but as a classical music lover it’s vastly less than ideal for several reasons, so I went to Spotify and realized they liked to shuffle Britney Spears into me listening to lieder, so I went back to YouTube because at least they didn’t do that. But it’s just so basic compared to the absolute perfection that was GPM, and difficult to navigate. I don’t know where to go next. I’ve been buying records on Bandcamp but I also like the streaming service to discover music with.

Marketplace when I was moving saved me many trips because people will come pick up any old thing, but it was the pits of hell to deal with. Some lady ghosted me picking up some doors, so I moved on to the next person, and she messaged me back three weeks later saying she was interested again, and was mad as blazes I hadn’t held onto them.

I think Tiktok can often be creative and informative, which Facebook is definitely not though. I don’t use Tiktok but what people have sent me have usually been funny.

Can you get into her parental controls? Someone on Reddit did that with their parents and it actually got them somewhere.

Bluesky is pretty fun and I’m glad he’s not there shitting it up anymore. I’ve only seen one nutsack on there so far.

The trouble I’ve found with Apple music for me is that a lot of the classical stuff that I listen to on YouTube Music (RIP forever GPM you were the best) isn’t on Apple, but a lot of other content that isn’t anywhere else is there. So you’re having to choose between one or the other and their stuff kind of sucks.

Does YouTube music pay its artists? I prefer an Android platform. A lot of the stuff I want isn’t on Apple Music for classical is also why.
