since this film was brought up in another thread, I tracked down this scene clip, it’s one of my favorite subtle scenes from this film

  • driving is normal but also seems very dangerous due to complete mismtach between the vehicles on the road

  • he’s an office worker visiting the poorer neighborhood where storm troopers abducted the wrong person, trying to fix the paperwork so there isn’t a problem for his department anymore (the man had died in custody), this is why he’s in a good mood, he’s doing an important task to help his boss CYA which might mean a sweet promotion

  • breaking news about terror attack getting you down, just change the station

  • the switch from the ‘model city’ to the actual run-down slums that are Shangrila Towers via the old unhoused man entering the frame suddenly

  • kids play acting as storm troopers, and citing legal codes in the process
